Mr. Hogan is General Manager of Vista Venture Partners. He has worked in the semiconductor industry for over three decades. His experience includes time as a senior executive in electronic design automation, semiconductor intellectual property, semiconductor equipment, and fabrication companies. Prior to joining Vista, Mr. Hogan was a General Partner at Telos Venture Partners. Previously, Mr. Hogan worked in a number of operating roles at both semiconductor and supplier companies. Prior to joining Telos, Mr. Hogan was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Artisan Components. Previously, Mr. Hogan was Senior Vice President of Business Development and the senior member of the Office of Chief Technologist at Cadence Design Systems. He was a Cadence Executive Fellow and held several positions at Cadence including President of Cadence Japan, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, and Corporate Vice President for Field Operations. He was also Chief Operating Officer of Smart Machines, a semiconductor equipment automation company. During his tenure at both National Semiconductor and Philips, Mr. Hogan established and managed device physics laboratories globally. He holds board positions at several early stage technology start-ups. Mr. Hogan holds a BA degree in mathematics, a BS degree in computer science and an MBA, all from San Jose State University’s School of Engineering.

Gary Kennedy

Mr. Kennedy served as President, CEO and board member of Orbit Semiconductor from 1985 until 1998 and has worked in the semiconductor and telecommunications industries for over three decades. Under his leadership, Orbit Semiconductor executed an MBO in 1991, went public in 1994 and was sold to the D11 Group in 1996. Mr. Kennedy played a significant role in guiding the company to a position as recognized leader in ASIC design and manufacturing services. Prior to joining Orbit Semiconductor, Mr. Kennedy held engineering positions with Raytheon Company’s Semiconductor Division, Signetics, and Synertek, all semiconductor companies, and Comdial Technology Corporation, a telecommunications company. Mr. Kennedy holds a BS in Business Management from the University of San Francisco.

Mr. Lex Kosowsky is founder, President and Chief Executive Officer at Shocking Technologies, an innovator in the development and manufacture of polymer nano-composite materials. Since launching the company in 2006, Mr. Kosowsky has defined its direction and growth. Mr. Kosowsky has over 27 years of executive and technical management experience in semiconductor technology and equipment ventures. Mr. Kosowsky has held numerous executive management positions. He spent his early career at National Semiconductor Corporation as President of its Dyna-Craft subsidiary where he managed five manufacturing plants and built revenue to over $200 million. Mr. Kosowsky was CEO and member of the board of directors of DMS Technologies, a manufacturer of semiconductor and fiber optic assembly equipment and materials. Prior to DMS, Mr. Kosowsky was Executive Vice President of Interconnect Technology, a $2B wafer foundry project located in Malaysia and backed by a multinational investment group. As co-founder, president and member of the board of directors at Leading Technologies, Mr. Kosowsky built a 75,000 sq. ft. leadframe plating and etching facility that produced $20+ million in first year sales. Mr. Kosowsky began his career at National Semiconductor. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.

Ajit Medhekar

Mr. Medhekar is a venture partner at ARCH Venture Partners, specializing in investments in the physical sciences, including semiconductors, communications, optics and advanced materials. Mr. Medhekar brings a long history of technical expertise and entrepreneurial success in launching, developing and investing in high technology companies across multiple industries. A semiconductor industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, Mr. Medhekar started his technical career at National Semiconductor and Synertek before joining Monolithic Memories, Inc. until the company was acquired by Advanced Micro Devices. He then joined Alliance Semiconductor as its Vice President of Memory Products and helped take the company from a start-up through a successful public offering in 1993. In 1997, he founded Lara Technology, which developed high speed silicon search-engines and was acquired by Cypress Semiconductor in mid-2001. In 2000, he founded empowerTel, a VoIP company that was acquired two years later by IP Unity. Mr. Medhekar also served as CEO of Silicon Bandwidth and sits on the board of directors for several private and public technology companies. Mr. Medhekar received his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT with a specialization in semiconductor and IC design. He has co-authored thirteen patents.

Mr. Michael holds an MBA from Stanford University, and an AB from Dartmouth College.
